QS Sustainability Ranking 2025

On December 10, the results of the QS Sustainability Ranking were published, featuring 1,743 universities from 107 countries and territories. The University of Toronto (Canada), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and Lund University (Sweden) are leading the global ranking.

The Kazakhstani segment includes 17 universities from 10 cities nationwide, with 5 institutions making their debut in the ranking. Kazakhstani universities continue to show strong results in the "Governance" indicator, which considers factors related to effective governance, such as adherence to ethical standards, the use of best practices in candidate recruitment and hiring, and transparency in decision-making processes, among others.

Abai KazNPU ranks 6th in Kazakhstan, 404th in Asia, and 1201-1250 globally. By participating in this ranking, the university demonstrates its commitment to sustainable development goals and aims to improve its performance in three key areas: environmental impact, social impact, and governance.
