Abai KazNPU in the global ranking: THE Impact 2024


On June 12, 2024, the results of THE Impact Rankings 2024, which assesses the compliance of universities with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, were published.

 

2,152 universities from 125 countries and regions participated in the ranking. In the country context, India is the most represented - 96, followed by Turkey - 91 and Pakistan - 89 universities. Western Sydney University (Australia), the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), and the University of Tasmania (Australia) headed the TOP 5 of the ranking, sharing 2 places with the University of Aalborg (Denmark) and RMIT University (Australia).

 

Kazakhstan`s higher education segment is represented by 26 universities. Abai KazNPU took the position of 1001-1500 in the global ranking, which corresponds to the 4th place in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The leader is Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a score of 401-600. ALMAU and Karaganda Medical University are in second and third place, respectively, located in the range of 801-1000.

 

Abai KazNPU has achieved the best results in the following SDGs:

5 - "Gender equality".

12 - "Responsible consumption and production".

16 - "Peace, justice, and strong institutions".

17 - "Partnerships for the goals".
