Design and development of innovative educational programs in chemistry

On December 22, 2023, the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, the educational and Methodological department and the academic committee held a webinar on the development and design of innovative educational programs in the field of chemistry teacher training. The event was attended by teachers of the Department of Chemistry, members of the academic committee. The webinar was opened by the head of the department, the chairman of the academic committee, senior lecturer Beikitova Albina. She noted that currently 30 educational programs throughout the republic, prepared on the basis of the Finnish education system, are being tested.

The webinar was attended by Associate Professor of the Higher School of Natural Sciences of the Alkey Margulan Pavlodar Pedagogical University Mukanova Rosa. The speaker introduced the structure and content of the educational program in chemistry. She elaborated on the applied approaches to the development of the educational program, evaluation criteria, and expected results. She explained the specifics of the content of academic subjects. The structure of the subject component: chemistry around us, applied chemistry, chemical structure and functions, energy and the mechanism of chemical processes, pedagogical approaches to teaching chemistry. At the webinar, participants asked questions to the speaker and received answers. The innovative educational program provides great opportunities to train competitive chemistry teachers in the future.
