Young researchers from the Institute of pedagogy and psychology discussed the problems of emotional intelligence of a modern person

As part of the Decade of Science, on 6 April 2023 the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay held a round table in cooperation with the Kokand State Pedagogical Institute (Uzbekistan), organized by the Youth Research School. Aliya Uteulova, lecturer of the Department of General and Applied Psychology, was the moderator and speaker of the event.

Key speakers presented their positions on the issue. Professor M.Absatova noted that emotional intelligence is a more important factor than IQ when it comes to success in work, personal life and society as a whole. U.J. Yuldoshev, Acting Associate Professor at the Kokand Institute, believes that emotional intelligence and the emotional intelligence educational environment are the most important innovations in education in the last 30 years.

Senior lecturer N.U. Begalieva presented some ways of developing emotional intelligence of modern students. Master student of the specialty "Pedagogy and Psychology" I.Polishchuk talked about the role of emotional intelligence in the formation of predictive competence of future teachers psychologists. The 2nd year student of the speciality "Psychology" A.Klug conducted training with the present students, members of the Youth School. Also the research works of the students of both universities were shown - video-resource-interviews, taken from school teachers and students on the problem.

A. Uteulova summarized the event by introducing some techniques that will be useful later in the life of students, how to cope with negative emotions, how to shift to positive ones, how to neutralize these emotions. She also showed through the example of her vibrant life how one can grow, develop and in which directions to go.

The problem of emotional intelligence attracted the interest of scientists from other universities: thanks to the online formatKazakh University of foreign languages and international languages professor Kunakova K.U. was able to join the event and present her vision.

At the end of the event, the participants of the round table were given surprises in the form of wishes.
