The main tasks of the direction of monitoring of research projects and normative control:
- monitoring the implementation of research work of the faculty and university staff, research projects, registration of reporting documentation in all areas of research and development;
- interaction with universities, research organizations on the implementation of research projects;
- study of innovative experience of higher educational institutions;
- participation in the organization of conferences, seminars and meetings on the problems of scientific research.
- monitoring of the research work processes required for the quality management system.

Functions of the direction of monitoring of research projects and normative control:
- monitoring of research projects and programs, analysis of the implementation of projects and research, generalization of the experience of research work at the university;
- preparation of recommendations for the implementation of research activities in the University with the requirements of the MES, NC STI international rating agencies;
- implementation of standard control of R & D documentation based on the application of existing instructions, state, industry and national standards, norms, rules and other regulatory documents;
- providing methodological assistance in the preparation of scientific reports on research topics;
- organizing and conducting consultations on the use of regulatory documentation;
- preparation of materials for reports;
- preparation of materials for exhibitions of scientific achievements;
- study of innovative experience of higher educational institutions;
- participation in the organization of scientific conferences, seminars and meetings on the problems of science and higher education;
- participation in meetings and meetings organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NC NTI, rating agencies, foreign universities;
- provision of consulting services.
