Round Table «Kazakhstan-Belarusian Literary and Humanitarian Ties»


On April 5, 2022, the National library of Kazakhstan held the international round table «Kazakhstani-Belarusian literary-humanitarian relations» and presented the collection «The literary almanac Kazakhstan-Belarus».


The organizers of the event were also the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan (APK) and the Association of Kurds of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Barbang». The chairman of the association, Vezir Mirzoev, spoke about the Kurdish Cultural Centre.

 

Kulsun Abdrakhmanov, head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology and multilingual education of Abai KazNPU, made a welcome speech at the meeting as invited guest by APK and the National Library. After making a report on the founder of the Chair - a prominent public figure, scholar and teacher Knyaz Ibrahimovich Mirzoyev and his scientific works, including collective monographs made as part of research projects, she presented several books to the library. These are the monographs «Translation Studies in Kazakhstan and Foreign Countries of the East» by K. Mirzoev, A. Zhumabekova, A. Tokhmetova, and K. Abdrakhmanova; «Spiritual Values as the Basis for the Culture of Nations» by K. Mirzoev, S. K. Mirzoev; «Historical and Cultural Relations of Kazakhstan with Far East Countries in the Context of Linguistic Comparativism», published in English dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, Knyaz Mirzoev. The Kurds. History And Modernity. All books were presented in detail by K. Abdrakhmanova.

 

The event was informative and evoked the enthusiasm and gratitude of all participants.
