ABOUT THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM


Erasmus+ is a European Union program aimed at modernizing and developing education systems, youth policies, and sports.

It provides financial opportunities for cooperation in these areas both within European countries and with partner countries around the world.
 
The program sets its goals as follows:

— to develop students educationally, linguistically, and culturally through studying in other European countries.

 — to expand cooperation between institutions and enrich the educational environment of host institutions.

 — to contribute to the development of young people as highly skilled future professionals with international experience.

A few facts about the Erasmus+ program for 2021-2027:

 — The estimated budget of the program exceeds €26 billion.

— Significant attention is given to areas such as social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and digitalization.

 — Some projects within the program have been ongoing for more than 30 years.

 

Erasmus+ offers several opportunities for students:

1.International Credit Mobility – studying or interning in Europe for a duration of three to 12 months.

 Application Requirements:

— monthly scholarship of €800-900 depending on the host country, along with reimbursement for travel expenses.

 — the mobility can involve undergraduate students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates. — the period of study at the foreign institution must align with the student’s specialty and educational program at the home institution.

— before the mobility period begins, an agreement must be signed detailing the courses or types of academic activities to be undertaken.

Requirements and documents for applying for an Erasmus scholarship:

— IELTS or TOEFL certificate. Some programs accept results from the Duolingo English Test Proficiency.

— Recommendation letters, usually required to provide two letters.

 — Previous diplomas and transcripts.

 — Motivational letter — length and format vary depending on the program.

— Development of a study plan or research project.

 — Work experience is not required, and there are no age restrictions.
